Rosie Tray Mixed Tournament – Anzac Day – Thursday 25th April
Sponsored by Barfoot & Thompson
Format: Mixed Event Combined Stableford

Book in online, if you don’t have a partner we will look to organise one for you.

However we will also have on the day an individual stableford competition for both Mens and Ladies so even if you don’t have a partner for the Rosie Tray there will still be great individual prizes.

* Pay at the Office
* Cost $20.00 each including twos
* 12 pm shotgun start
* The cafe will be open on the day

Thanks to Raewyn Stanaway and the team at Barfoot & Thompson for their sponsorship of this event.

As you will all be aware our current Vet's Captain, Scott Gwynne, has tendered his resignation and is moving south to spent more time with family.   I would like to take this opportunity to thank Scott for all his hard work and for the assistance he has provided me in my role as Club Captain.  We wish him all the best for the future.

Vet's Vibes

Support For Vet's Golf

The Vet's Committee has all but confirmed two significant sponsorship arrangements with businesses in the area.  With the assistance of Marcus, our Club Manager we are in the final stages of confirming Bayley’s Real Estate as the principal supporter of Vet’s Golf.  Bayleys will support Wednesday golf and our Western Tray/Plate Matchplay Championship.   The Omokoroa Coffee Club has also indicated strong support for Vet’s Golf.  A small sub-group of committee members is finalising that arrangement.

With the support of these two organisations hopefully the current members of the group will enjoy an enhanced Wednesday programme and other club members will consider Wednesday play. Thank you, Bayley’s Real Estate and the Omokoroa Coffee Club.

Wednesday Results

The support of local organisations is obviously a theme in this week’s Vet’s Vibes.   Thankyou Sunvue for your fourth year of support for our Vet’s Strokeplay Championship.  The second round was played on Wednesday.

Changing of the Guard

The urge for Glennys and me to be closer to our children and grandchildren has resulted in us selling up and buying in Feilding.  Over the next six weeks or so Ian Graham will share the Captaincy role before I finally step aside towards the end of May.  I want to thank one and all for your friendship, camaraderie and friendly banter over the last 10 years.  The bond of club members of the Omokoroa Golf Club is something I haven’t experienced in other clubs and in my view our Board must continue to strive to maintain a balance between the concepts of 'Family' and 'Business'.

President's Message
John 'Swampy' Marsh

Great progress on the 9th new ladies tee.  This will be cooched, and the shelter erected to protect the area from the 8th fairway and practice fairway.

Wishing Colin Gee a speedy recovery.  We are all thinking of you.

Welcome back to Alan Nicholls, great to see you playing Vet's again Alan.  All the best.

A great big thank you to all our sponsors.
