Twilight
Pink Leow

This week competition was the famous (infamous!) “Coloured Ball” format. This always provides a lot of laughs and quite a few hard luck stories. No fewer than 12 teams managed to lose their Coloured Ball - 2 teams lost the ball on the very first hole, with the first shot even! Equally sad was the team who were doing pretty well when they lost the ball on the very last hole.

Winners on the night were Joann and Mike Deane who won the 2 x $30 petrol vouchers, courtesy of Mike Deane Motors; quite a coincidence. Interesting to note that Joann and Mike lost their coloured ball on the very first hole when we played this format last year, but no such problem this time. Joann and Mike very generously passed over this prize and chose instead the 2 sets of club covers, courtesy of PaR n.z. Golfing Holidays. In second place were Nathan Lewis and Ben Bell closely followed by Dee and Peter McCrea. The season long leader board can be found here

The winner of the complementary meal courtesy of Brittany and Ana was Brian Taylor, who also very generously gifted this back to the caterers. A very busy night for Brittany and Ana and Vivienne who served up over 90 meals.

A big Congratulations to Jamie Warren who had a Hole in One on the 11th hole during practice before the Twilight competition started. As he described it, 1 bounce and in. Jamie has not been playing golf for very long so this was a great effort. Unfortunately, he could not repeat this during the main event when he put his tee shot on the 11th straight into the trees on the left.
