Carts Off-Course
Just a gentle reminder about cart usage off course.  We have had a resident report a couple of carts whizzed past her on the footpath on Kaylene Place, causing alarm.  While the club does not condone use of carts off the golf course, if you do, we suggest extreme caution and consideration for pedestrians.

Works at Gate
Over the next few weeks, the house immediately to the right of the golf club entrance will be undergoing renovations and will have workers, vehicles and machinery etc on site.  Please exercise caution when entering and exiting the driveway.

9 Hole Ladies
Astrid Martin

It was hard work getting out of bed this morning – just ask Brittany!  But the reward was well worth it, with the sun penetrating the frosty ground and replenishing everyone’s faith in golf.

Today was the last day of HomeLinks (Sue Bunt) and was a stableford round.

Congrats to:        Diane Mahony                  20
                                Jan Annabell                       19
                                Robyn King                          19
                                Rohanne Hancock            18
                                Lyn Harrison                       18

Winner of the HomeLinks competition was Astrid Martin

We welcomed a new player to 9 Hole Ladies golf today, Cheryl Bowie.  We wish her well with her game and look forward to getting to know you Cheryl.

Trish Frecklington had a slam dunk on the 12th hole, congrats to her.

And finally, our beautiful Judith Eaton, who had a tough day at the office today, started off being unable to hit the ball, which is sooo not like her. She finally realised it was the new bifocal glasses she purchased yesterday that were the problem! Do I look up, do I look down or straight ahead??? Ask Judith for the answer!

Vets Vibes
Ross Milne

Results – Mid Winter Xmas Tourn.
Very well supported and complimented by a stunning day. Final field of 85 lined up to compete for a pretty good prize table largely sponsored through the Vets Committee.

1st Division
Jim McCrone                             39 points
Mark Dodd                            38     “
Bill Neeley                              37     “

Obviously Jim drove the ball better than he drove his car through his daughter-in-law’s orchard. His partner warned of getting stuck; did he listen.?  Och aye, it be only a wee cock up.
And Bill Neeley’s new driver also seems to be working. But maybe more on that next week.

2nd Division
Judy Lewer                               38 points
John Herder                             38     “
Bruce Lewer                             37     “

Almost a stable quinella but would have been at small odds as these runners seem to race consistently and pop up at the right time.  And John is continuing a good run of form too.
But everyone a winner on the day. Well done Steve and his team.

Outta de Blue Voucher - John Herder. Good reward for efforts on the day.

Coming Events
Next week          –    fourth (and final) round Sun Vue stroke play.
3rd July                 -    BOP Vets @ Mt Maunganui  ( entry form in locker room)
14th August         -    next ( and third) round Quads @ Omanu. ( we will advise when entry form posted)
