Results – Wednesday Haggle.
The field decimated again with the “no carts” sign posted so a field of about 40 faced the starter.
One division only and winners were:
John Herder 39 points
Geoff Gripton 39 “
John Aldridge 38 “
Graham Davis 36 “
Given the conditions it represents pretty respectable scoring. The two Johns both performed well last week and it is well known that racehorses with big feet perform well in Winter conditions. Maybe not only racehorses.
Safety Concerns
Recently our Captain Steve suffered an accident leaving the Omokoroa Boat Club. Exiting the building and walking to his vehicle he collided with one of the boulders that define the parking area. Some bruising and other damage occurred but luckily Steve was unharmed.. As can be expected Steve didn’t take this lieing down and has approached Western Bay Council regarding these risks. The matter is being reviewed via CCTV footage – and hinges on whether Steve was moving and the boulder stationary or as Steve claims, he was stationary and the boulder moved. But something to look out for when at the Boat Club.

I would expect some movement on the leader board and good scoring that day in the various divisions

Shirts are due to be delivered to me by Mid July. Clothing sales are a real drama - sizing etc... Please - measure your favourite shirt from underarm to underarm. (half chest size) This way we can make sure you get the correct fit.
