9 Hole Ladies
Astrid Martin

A stunning sunny, clear day for our matchplay championship finals

It took 3 years and 3 attempts, but finally Robyn King beat Rohanne Hancock (on the 1st extra hole) to take the win.

Runner up and Plate champion is none other than our Mrs “DTM” (down the middle) Robin Lusby who beat Dianne Mahony.

In the Rosebowl final, Bev Hanson defeated Ali Howarth and Judith Eaton won against Daisy Harrison to secure the Plate.

Huge congratulations to you ladies, great results on a tough day at the office.

Men's Nine Hole Golf, Thursday 25th May.

It was soggy, but Careful Carts were permitted and that in turn allowed the Matchplay to progress to the Semi Finals, all matches to be played next Thursday on the Back Nine.

The usual Haggle for the balance of the field was light in numbers, Wayne Butler walked away with it, a good score with 19 Stablefords.

Haggle next week will be on the Front Nine.

Women's World
Debbie Clark

Unfortunately the weather was against us for both our playing days and our Winter Tournament had to be postponed until 11th June so no golf was played by us this week. We can just hope for better conditions to arrive.

Our Match Play Championships are being played along with the men this Sunday 28th.

Our finalists for 2023 are as follows:

Silver: Kellie Orchard and Anya Apanui

Bronze One: Chrissy Anderson and Rose Thomson

Bronze Two: Liz Woods and Trish Weir

Bronze Three: Judy Lewer and Sue Muir

Hopefully the weather will come to the party and we shall see some exciting match ups. Please feel free to come out and cheer the ladies on

Pink Ribbon Breakfast
Sarah Campbell

Dear Omokoroa Golf Club Members,

This is Sarah Campbell, Host of the Omokoroa Pink Ribbon Breakfast.

I wanted to take this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude for your incredible generosity by allowing us to hold this event in the club house on the 7th of May, to raise necessary funds for Breast Cancer Foundation New Zealand.

109 lovely ladies attended the inaugural Omokoroa Pink Ribbon Breakfast at your picturesque Omokoroa Golf Course. It was a morning filled with joy, delicious food, laughter, exciting games, engaging auction banter, and, most importantly, meaningful fundraising for a noble cause. The spirit of camaraderie and support from the ladies, was truly heart-warming.

I would like to extend a special thanks to Marcus and his dedicated office team for their invaluable support in selling tickets and planning the event. Your efforts behind the scenes did not go unnoticed and were instrumental in making the breakfast a resounding success. Additionally, we cannot thank Rachel enough for her outstanding work managing the bar on the day. Her professionalism and dedication were truly commendable.

Last but certainly not least, I want to express our sincere appreciation to Brittany for presenting an exquisite and scrumptious breakfast that left everyone satisfied and delighted. Your culinary skills and attention to detail were truly exceptional, and we received countless compliments on the delicious spread you provided.

Thank you again for your outstanding support and generosity. Together, we have made a meaningful difference in the lives of others suffering from breast cancer. So far from this event, we have raised $11,000.

We look forward to continued collaboration and future endeavours that will allow us to bring even more positive change to our local community.

Warmest regards,

Sarah
