Interclub Pennants
Our Championship Team lost 2-4 to a strong Te Puke side last Sunday at Rotorua. Hayden Nganeko had a big win 7 and 6 and Neil Howard also had a convincing victory by 5 and 4.  They play against Whakatane at the Lakeview this Sunday.

The Seniors won by default, after the Tauranga Team couldn't field a side. They also play at Lakeview this Sunday against Te Puke.

Our Intermediates beat Omanu 4.5 - 1.5 with Andy Kirk, Hugh Clark, Dave Hughes and Don Howard having wins Paul Shaw halved his match when his opponent hit a thin chip on the last hole which hit the pin and went in the cup. Special mention to Don who shot a 38 in the first nine to go on and win 7 and 5.

The Juniors continued their fine form to beat Omanu 5.5 - 0.5. James Alexander, Richard Hall,Vince Stanaway, Alan Nicholls and David Woods all won while Mick Charlton halved his match.

The Intermediate and Junior Teams have now qualified for the Baywide Playoffs starting in a couple of weeks. Well done guys!

Tuesday Tee Times
A decision was made at the Ladies Committee Meeting last Tuesday, after consultation with Marcus Niles and discussion with those present.

The Ladies will now have a 3 tee start available on a Tuesday, and will continue to start at 9am. Hopefully this will accommodate all the ladies, as well as allowing other members and green fee players to be fitted in.

All ladies, wishing to play on a Tuesday need to book in on line, or ring the office and make a booking. Ph 5480384. And if you decide not to play, PLEASE cancel your booking.

Twilight Update
Pink Leow

Another lovely autumn evening was enjoyed by a field of 106 players - though it was cooling down rapidly by the end of play.

The competition format was Best Ball Nett and scoring was amazingly close - with no less than 13 teams all scoring exactly the same - 33 Nett. However, clear winners were non other than our wonderful sponsors - Mike and Joanne Deane with a total of 28 Nett. Mike and Joann Deane very generously passed over the first prize of 2 x $30 petrol vouchers which were gratefully received by second place getters, Tom Broersen and Ian Walker. Nearest the pin winners were Jake Buskirk, Bryan Pirani, Cathy Berry and Sue Thomson who all received a sleeve of Titleist golf balls courtesy of PaR n.z. Golfing Holidays.

Next Wednesday will be the final evening for Twilight golf - and we will also have the prize giving for the season long competition. Top of the leaderboard are still Jeff and Jamie Warren who remain 2 points clear of their nearest competitors - so everything still to play for. Click here for the latest Leaderboard.
