Coffee Time!
Thanks to Daryn from Java Jons, we have a flash new coffee machine on loan, so Britany is now serving delicious coffee in the cafe!  Prices start from $4.  It is a trial for a few months, so if it is well supported we will make it permanent.

Omokoroa Open - 14-15 January
Not long now to one of the best events on the Omokoroa Golf Club calendar, the Omokoroa Open!

This year we are trying something a little different with the management of this event. Due to the numbers of people missing out on entering this event, and in an attempt to hopefully speed up the pace of play, we will be running two fields, with a shotgun start Saturday morning and another shotgun start at approximately 1pm (or as soon as the morning field has completed their round)

On Sunday the fields will reverse their tee times, with Saturday afternoon players teeing off on Sunday morning and then the Saturday morning players will play Sunday afternoon. Prizegiving will begin promptly once the Sunday afternoon field completes their round.

This year we also have added a team element to the event. If you have entered as an individual but not as a team yet, please think of doing so!  The team entry is $100 and the 3 best net scores on each hole will count towards your team score for the 2 rounds. The prize for the winning team is a Golf Experience at the new Te Arai Links which will include accommodation and a round of golf for four people. This prize has a value well over $2000. Second place for the team competition is a dinner voucher at the leading restaurant in the Bay of Plenty, Fife Lane! So great prizes available for the team competition as well as the $10,000 on offer for the individual competition.

We will also have the putting competition for each field on Saturday (so more chance of winning as only half the competition field to compete against) as well as a lunch for the morning field and supper for the afternoon field on Saturday.

Thanks in advance to the main sponsors of this Event: The Clubroom, A1 Kitchens and Fife Lane.

The entries are now closed, but we are taking a waiting list in case of withdrawals.  The draw will be published at least a week prior.

Looking forward to a great event, the greenkeepers are working hard to make sure the course will be in top condition for the tournament.
