Friday Haggle Today!
Even though the course is closed - John is still going to run a prize draw for everyone at 930am this morning.  So come in for a drink and a catch up, and maybe put your name down for the New Years Tournament (poster below).  Note: the cafe won't be open, but the coffee machine is on and the bar will be open.

Vets Christmas Hamper
A field of 50 took part in average conditions and which deteriorated pretty quickly. I don’t think anyone complained when the hooter sounded and play was abandoned soon after. A generous prize table was determined by the individual cards being drawn by lot. More luck than skill – but that probably sums up our golf anyway.

Quads
The decision was made to cancel this last round last week due to weather conditions. This resulted in the scoreboard current as at the third round determining this year’s winner – being Tauranga. The outcome may have been different had we been able to host the event as scheduled and made use of the “home course advantage” which generally tends to happen. Next year. First round scheduled 6th March.

Coming Events
Wed   21st Dec.  Final haggle for year
Wed    4th Jan – recommencing.  Format – Irish Stableford (whatever that is )
Feb 13th/14th/15th Feb  - entry forms now posted and available

Noticed
While we were playing last Wednesday – a very wet and bedraggled figure on the mower came past the Club Rooms. Colin Gee out mowing the fairways.  Pretty impressive.

Christmas Wishes
To all our players – well done for your participation and support during a very testing year.

Twilight Update
Pink Leow

Another disappointment that we had to cancel our last Twilight for the 2022 season due to non-stop rain that we are getting this year. Again, we had to stay home and cook dinner!

Just like every other group who are trying their best to get the golf events going this year, it has been very frustrating. However, we would like to thank all the Twilight fans for their understanding and support throughout the season. Special thanks to our sponsors Mike Deane Motors, Bethlehem Butchery, PaR n.z. Golfing Holidays and The Clubroom for their wonderful support.

We hope everyone has a good festive season with family & friends and we look forward to seeing everyone back on 11th January to kick-start the 2023 Twilight season.
