Manager's Message
Marcus Niles

Australian PGA
Kieran Muir has had a solid start to his first event on his Australia trip.  He had 3 birdies and 3 bogeys on his way to an even par round to sit mid-pack after round 1.  You can follow his progress at https://pga.org.au/report/

13th Fairway
The team has ripped up the fairway and it will be re-sown on Monday.  We need a dozen or so volunteers to help spread the stolons.  Please contact Colin Gee or reply to this email if you are able to help.

For the next few weeks the 13th will be a Par 3 and it has been changed to the 18th stroke hole.  All other holes on the back 9 have been adjusted accordingly.  Your scorecard will reflect the changes.

Men's World
Swampy - Club President

It is with regret that our Mens Captain has resigned after six years of sterling service.

We need someone to step into the role, which comes with a job description.  Please let myself or Marcus know if you are available.  It is not a difficult job, but does require some commitment.

My personal thanks to Hugh Clark for all his hard work for the club.

Vet’s Committee Replacement Roles (a message from Steve)
Hi Guy’s
No doubt by now you will all know that Scott has resigned through ill health; this has and will have a big impact on the Vet’s Group.  We have need to appoint a new Secretary, BOP delegate and a Quads delegate.

BOP Vets Delegate
Our thanks to Alan Thomson who has picked up the mantle of BOP delegate George Griffin has agreed to be Alan’s assistant, so all matters related to BOP vets should be addressed to Alan. You may already have picked up a note from Alan regarding the upcoming Vets Venue at Te Puke on 5th December.

Quads Delegate – see above
The next position to fill is for a Quads delegate: this format is played 4 times a year, with 1 meeting of the clubs delegates annually.  You will not be responsible for any running of the home game in Omokoroa. This along with prize purchasing and prize giving is covered by your committee.

Secretary
Please give some thoughts to picking up the very important role of Secretary. To make the position a wee bit easier you would not necessarily be required to do the minutes as at the moment Bob Duckworth is covering that position. And other aspects previously allocated to this role are also being shared.

I’m sure that you will all agree we can’t go back to one person covering all positions, the load must be spread.

Regards
Steven Ellingford  Vet’s Captain
