Western Tray Matchplay
Amid the chaos created by an untimely downpour of heavy rain just prior to tee-off we lost track of the fact that the Ladies who had qualified for match play have until this coming Wednesday the 28th to complete their first-round match.   If this affects you, you will receive an email reminder sometime today but ultimately the responsibility to play your match on time is yours.  Men, the draw for your next matches will be posted today.

Sunvue Strokeplay Championship
We have one window of opportunity left to hold the fourth and final round. Round 4 is now scheduled for 12 October.

Outta the Blue
Congratulations to Lew Kew the inaugural winner of the ‘Outta the Blue’ Hidden Holes competition.  Jules (Julie), the owner/operator of the mobile seafood shop that we see every Friday in the carpark opposite Prole Road is committed to supporting local groups and has indicated she will support the hidden holes competition on a monthly basis.   Sponsors depend on our support as much as we do theirs.  When you next buy from Jules let her know that you are a member of Vet’s golf at Omokoroa.

Vet’s Annual General Meeting
The Vets AGM is scheduled for Wednesday the 12th of October after golf. All of the relevant information has been posted in the clubroom, including the form for nominating people for committee and the process for submitting remits to be considered at the AGM.

Annan Law Saturday Men’s Club Day
We play the 2nd round of the Captains Trophy this Saturday. The competition is the best 3 out of 4 Stableford scores.

The lucky member draw for $250 last Saturday was won by Hugh Moleta, after Rachel drew his card out of the hat.

A prompt to all to make sure you pay your $2 when buying meat raffle tickets on Saturdays. We have been out of balance the last two weeks.

10 brave warriors set forth to Omanu Golf Club yesterday.
Unfortunately the rain got there before them!
Play was abandoned.
