Shorts for Hospice Day
A fine, sunny day this Tuesday for our annual fundraiser for Hospice and 39 ladies got behind the cause with $475 raised. A superb effort from everyone and those who didn’t wear shorts were suitably fined. The winners were:-
Wackiest Shorts – Christine Millward (winning a squawking chicken)
Longest Shorts – Jan Gyenge (winning a pair of scissors)
Brightest Shorts – Rose Thompson (winning a pair of sunglasses)
Classiest Shorts – Dee McCrea (winning a bling keyring)
Tattiest Shorts – Mary Gainford (winning a sewing kit)
Cheekiest Shorts – Maryanne McGarva (X-rated, you’ll have to ask her)
Closest to the Shorts – Robyn Alabaster (winning a ‘trophy’ and golf ball)
Shortest Drive – Christine Millward (winning a protein bar)
We had three new members with us this week – Mary Gainford, Gae Stevenson and Barbara Duncalf. Welcome ladies. Hopefully our antics haven’t put you off coming again next week!
