On Monday the 5th of July NZ Structures will be starting to build the board walk from the 7th green to the 8th tee. This project will take around 5 weeks to complete.

We do not want heavy trucks transporting all the timber and materials across the golf course.  Damage would be caused by the heavy trucks, so NZ Structures have organised a helicopter to fly the materials from the green keepers shed to the 7th and 8th pathway and this could take up to 2 days to transport, depending on the weather conditions.

We will be closing the front 9 of the golf course for the day of Monday 5th July and depending on the weather possibly the front 9 will be closed on Tuesday the 6th of July as well. The helicopter will be flying over the front 9 with timber hanging from it which is a fairly dangerous operation.

The back 9 will be left open for play on these days.

Also while the board walk is being built I will set up a temporary par 3 on the 7th which will be a similar set up to what we had on the 8th hole with a green cut out of the 7th fairway but will be played off the existing 7th tee.

I will be moving all the tee blocks from the 8th tee down onto the 8th fairway as the contractors will be working around the 8th tee, this set up will be in place for the 5 weeks it will take to build the new board walk.
