General Managers Message

Omokoroa Golf Club Newsletter
From Allan Botha – General Manager

Another week gone… and you all know what that means: we’re another week closer to moving into our new clubhouse!

On Tuesday, I had the privilege of walking through the new facility with our new caterer, Ryan Ladbrook, and I’m pleased to report he was seriously impressed. Ryan commented that the clubhouse is far bigger than we probably realise, and that we’ll only truly appreciate the scale and layout once the new furniture is in place. Speaking of which — here's some images of what’s coming on the furniture front… and yes, that is definitely an upgrade!

Wednesday saw me contributing to the Vets prize pool — paying my $5 haggle fee and (optimistically) putting in $2 for the twos. I came close… but as they say, “never up, never in!” Regardless, it was a fantastic round in even better company. A big thank you to Michael Dow, Mark Dodd, and Kevin Smith for an enjoyable day. You all make the game look easy — fairways found with consistency and some excellent pitching and chipping on display. Unfortunately, Mark had to head off after 9 holes due to injury — wishing you a speedy recovery.

A sincere thank you as well to EV East for sponsoring bottles of wine for the prize table and for showcasing their products. If you're interested in learning more about what they offer, please feel free to get in touch with me.

That’s it from me — enjoy the weekend, and I look forward to seeing you all at the club soon.
