General Managers Message
Allan Botha

Dear Members,

What a week it’s been at Omokoroa Golf Club! Our greenkeeping team has been hard at work with course maintenance, focusing on tee upkeep. To keep the course open during this period, all play was from the red tee markers, making the course short—and I mean very short! This change led to some fascinating results, with an 18 handicap index golfer playing off a handicap of just 4. The clubhouse was buzzing with chatter as some players made eagles and birdies on certain holes, while many others discovered just how tricky your short games can be. Getting to the green in fewer shots was one thing, but landing the ball on the green and into the hole? That’s where the real challenge began!

Japan Tour Fundraiser – This Saturday, 6th September

We’ll have raffles running to raise funds, so bring your enthusiasm and help our juniors shine on their upcoming tour.

Caddy Shack Chat
Kelli Simpson

What a whirlwind week it's been for The Caddie Shack Team.

Tina and Conrad did an amazing handover and helped to make the transition into the kitchen as easy as possible.

Regardless of the weather we hit the ground running into the weekend with Saturday being steady and Sunday was definitely a test of our metal with Jackson Price and 104 Golfers from around the BOP descending on us. They all left with smiles on their faces, so I guess we stepped up to the challenge okay.

Thank you all for making us feel so welcome it has been awesome to meet a lot of you this week, we will have loyalty coffee cards along with a couple of new healthy options in the cabinet next week.

Once in The Caddie Shack, we will be opening on Monday’s from October  8:30am -3:00pm.

You've all been Tee-rific'

Kelli and The Caddy Shack team.

After four weeks of tight competition in the Carroll Cup, Brent Jenkins proved to be too hard for the field to catch on Saturday and took out the win with a final sore of 211. A hot first round of net 66 proving the difference with Brent beating Neil Howard by four shots,  with Graeme Muir one more shot back in third. Neil Howard took out the eclectic with an overall gross score of 64, with Blair Murdock in second on 65 and Ravi Shearman in third with a score of 67. With 75 golfers completing the Carroll Cup it was a great competition this year.

This weekend sees the club fundraising event for our Juniors taking the main stage, if you are in the shootout this round will count though!

Please keep in mind the club strokeplay starts on Saturday 27th September, and runs for four rounds until the 18th of October.  Lets hope the course continues to dry out and we will hopefully be able to hold the strokeplay in great conditions this year.

Happy golfing this weekend and many thanks to all our members for supporting our Junior Golfers this week.

Thank you to all our Sponsors
