The weather has played its part in making it a quiet week on the course this week. But off the course there is plenty going on!
COVID
The big news is the COVID policy for the country and club has changed. The requirement for the vaccine passes to utilise the course and retail space has been removed. After April 4 the vaccine pass will not be required in the clubhouse either. We do have to maintain distancing and wear masks in the clubhouse as we currently do.
One thing I'd really like to ask everyone is that they are very welcoming for anyone coming back to the club who may have been unable to play since our policy was introduced. Lets show what a truly friendly club we really are!
Carts
We have been very lucky in that until this week we have only had to close the course once this year so far, and only had to close for carts on one other occasion.
Unfortunately the last couple of days we have been unable to allow carts on the course. This decision is made by the greenkeepers and is not made lightly. There are many factors that are considered when we make that call, and Nathan prides himself on having the course open as often as he can. Your understanding is appreciated. If you have any questions, please talk to me or our course convener, Colin Gee.
Autumn Foursomes
Just a reminder that we are hosting this national event next Monday-Wednesday. Remember, we do have the passport rate available if you want to enjoy another course in the Bay, but you will need to book with them.
Coring
Our annual coring week is scheduled for 4-8 April. There are some projects being completed, and we do need some able-bodied volunteers please. The big job is to pick up the cores from the green. So if you are fit and strong and have a bit of time it would be great to have your help. I will give you more details next week.
