OGC - Board News – 2nd March 2022
- New Board Members
Following the resignations from the board of Fintan Downes and David Hughes in February, the board has exercised its prerogative under clause 6 of the constitution and filled the two vacancies.
We are pleased to welcome Ben Van den Borst and Max Greer to the board. In addition we welcome Keith Roberts, who has been co-opted to the board pursuant to clause 10 of the constitution.
With these additions we have a very competent board with a good balance of skills and experience.
- Special General Meeting
As foreshadowed in the last board news, we have now set a date for the special general meeting of Thursday 17th March, commencing at 7.00pm in the clubrooms. We look forward to your attendance. The purpose of this SGM is to enact two changes to our constitution. A full explanation of the details will be included in the formal notice to be sent to all members and posted in the clubrooms.
- COVID Policy
It is obvious that Omicron will soon be prevalent in all communities and government, of necessity, will progressively be winding back the regulatory frameworks and mandates.
Our position is to retain the existing policy, and to review our position at the next board meeting on the 14th of March.
