Annan Law Saturday Men’s Club Day

The second round of the Captains Trophy (best 3 out of 4 stableford) is played as well as qualifying for the A-One Kitchens and Interiors Shootout Final. Hopefully we will hold prizegiving after play this week.

In last Saturday’s haggle the results were; Division 1 - Brian Barsdell 42 points, Brett Dingle 42, Kevin Donald 41, David Hill 41 and in Division 2 - Hugh Moleta 38, Gerald Scantlebury 37, John Keats 37, Tony Forder 37, Tony Allport 37.

Rubbish on Course

Please pick any trash that may be lying around. Bits and pieces have been blown around from building sites with winds and are unsightly. Also if you are a smoker please put your cigarette butts in the rubbish bins.

New Member nabs a Hole in One
Congrats must be given to Des Hammond who nabbed a 'hole in one' on hole number 6 on Tuesday.  What a way to make known your arrival at the club.  Well Done.

Board and Committee A.G.M.

There are a number of positions on the Board available and we need a new Club Captain, so please consider whether you could help the Club. Nomination sheets for the Board, Men’s Committee and the Club Captain are in the Clubhouse so put your names forward.

Bay of Plenty Interzone at Omokoroa

A most successful two-day event with the Yellow Team (which, I might add was made up of 10 of our Omokoroa ladies) winning by 9 points. Commiserations to Blue Team members Pink, Dawn and Celia. Try harder to make the Yellow Team next time. Thanks to committee members for their help with raffles and to Jarrod for his delicious catering. Several visitors threatened to bribe him into relocating.

This week's results

More great weather for ladies’ golf.

Sat 25 Sept: Linley Jamieson-Hill 42 (not bad Linley), Jessie Savage 39. 2s for Linley and Liz Woods.

Tues 28 Sept: Elaine Gavin & Ann Hunter both 38, new member Trish Weir 36.

Spring Fling Tournament

The field for Tuesday 19 October is now full with reserves.

Thank you from the Staff
It has been so great to have everyone coming in with Masks to the shop and up to the bar.  Thank you.  We are all tired of Covid Level 2 but continued efforts here at the club are appreciated.   $1- masks available at the office and bar if you forget yours.

Deb's Update
Injury wise - my back/shoulder is slightly improved but still stopping me playing golf sadly. I'm very much a work in progress. Knee is going to need a scan as they think I may have pulled tendon off the bone. Ek!

My house has sold and I am moving.  Move is the week of the 11th - 15th, so you will not see me here that week, please contact office if you need anything.

If anyone has a covered trailer they could lend me for the 13th,14th,15th I would greatly appreciate it.

Also, yes it's true I have resigned from the Admin managers role.  I was going to have to reduce my days in any case after the move and have decided with the big shift and change for my kids to a new school etc, I need to focus on them for the next while.

I do hope very much to still be able to help out with the club in some way, it just wont be in a management capacity.
