Pink Leow

I’d like to take this time to wish you and your family a relaxing Christmas and a Happy New Year as we give thanks for being privileged to live in such a beautiful country.

Here are a few updates from me:-

New Years Eve Tournament (31st December)

This is looking like being a very full field. We now have 132 members and 16 visitors registered. The afternoon tee times are now fully booked and there are still a few vacant tee times available in the morning session. There will be Nearest to Pins for all divisions so a lot to play for and plenty of lucky Raffle tickets to be purchased.

Prize giving around 5pm and players must be in the clubrooms to collect their prize or have someone to collect on your behalf.

There will be food available from Jarrod in the kitchen before and during the prize giving. Come along and make an evening of it.

Bunker rakes & poles

Our hardworking President – John Marsh (Swampy) has been hard at work installing all the bunker poles around the course. Please do NOT remove the poles as they are treated as immovable objects. Not only does the golf course look tidier than before, the new setup has also benefited the green staff for daily maintenance of bunkers and the surrounds.

Please refer to Rule 16 on free relief.

Annan Law Saturday Men’s Club Day

There will be no organised haggle this Saturday as it is Boxing Day.

The second round of the Summer Cup will be played on the 2nd January.

Richard nabs an Ace:

Congratulations to Richard Ellis who had a hole-in-one last Thursday on the 16th hole.

A reminder to all players to be wary of trespassing onto properties that border the course. If you hit a ball that goes out of bounds into private gardens please accept that will be sayonara to that ball.

Volunteer Vacancy

We all know volunteers are at the heart of any club and are an integral part of our club’s success. We have many tireless volunteers helping our greenkeepers on a daily basis and a wonderful group keeping the gardens tidy. We now have any opportunity for you to step up and help out.

We are looking for cart cleaners. The carts are particularly well used during the summer season and require cleaning weekly. If you could find an hour from your week to do this job we would be very grateful. Contact the office if you would be happy to take on the role.

Roger Pace has swan plants ready to be replanted, please phone if you would like one ph 548 1770
