Annan Law Saturday Men’s Club Day
This Saturday we will play a haggle and start the first round of the Club Strokeplay Championships next week. We do want to see as many players as possible competing, so get some practice in and bring your A- games next Saturday. The Course will be fully recovered from the flooding and those cart users will be good to go.

Men's Committee Meeting
We meet at 9.30 a.m. before play, so if there are any issues or suggestions to be discussed, please speak to me or one of the committee members.

It is nice to be back after 5 weeks in Ireland where we had fantastic weather. Deb and played 20 different Courses and had a fantastic time. We struggled a bit on the Links courses, and played one round at Butter Mountain where it was so windy 5 flags were blown out of the holes. We loved the games we had when we played with locals, but found we played as a pair most of the time.

Women's World
Diana Price

It’s been almost two months for a newsletter write up from Women’s World. It was uplifting to see the ladies all pouring onto the golf course to cure their quench for a golf win and company in the Saturday and Tuesday fields. A very different June and July time for us not being able to play golf. However, August should start things moving along and we can catch up on our programme. For those wishing to enter the McNicol Handicap Matchplay trophy there is a sheet up on the ladies notice board. Please write your name and current handicap. More information on this in our weekly Tuesday info.  On Sunday there will be the FINALS MATCHPLAY GAME. Those playing 36 holes are Kellie Orchard v Donna Dyer and Janice Bell v Lynda Smith. Playing 18 holes are Margaret Findsen v Mary Findlay. We wish you all a good match. Come along and support the players on Sunday.

Weeky Resullts:
Saturday: 1st Dawn Rumney , 2nd Pink Leow 3rd Maree Lawson

Tuesday: Division 1 - 1st Dee McCrea, 2nd Wendy Harris, 3rd Donna Dyer
Division 2 - 1st Lynda Middleton, 2nd Sue Reese, 3rd Brenda Arnesen

The Week’s ahead
With all of the weather disruptions in recent weeks our programme has quickly become quite compressed.  So we press on from here and hopefully in the next two weeks we can complete the Sunvue Strokeplay Championship, and following right on the heels of that play the two rounds of the Grandma and Grandpa trophies.  Then believe it or not we are into the Western Tray and Western Plate competitions and the Vets AGM.

November 3 Day Mixed Pairs Tournament
Not a lot to say really other than it’s sneaking up fast and that there is only room for 14 more pairs!!.  You can enter via the New Zealand Vet’s website  www.nzvga.co.nz  or by emailing me.  Our thanks again to Omokoroa Country Estate for supporting this tournament.
