Well it was good to get the Golf up and going again last Saturday, but the going wasn't that good!!! let's say a little bit soft underfoot. But well done to all the volunteers and the green staff for getting the course playable.
Unfortunately cart users will have to be a little bit more patient. In the meantime Marcus is trying his best to organize some better weather.
Congratulations to Pete Stallard (one of only four players who bettered their Handicap on the day) who beat Dave Hughes in the Final of the President's Cup.
The final of the Omokoroa cup and the "pairs" competition have been postponed until further notice.
Results for Sat 23/7/22

Sorry for the short notice... BUT...
The Omokoroa stroke play competition is scheduled to start (tomorrow) Sat 30th. HOWEVER under the circumstances i.e. not knowing if the course will even be open, We the Saturday Men's Committee and Marcus have agreed that it is going to be a better option to play the Stroke play competition in a few weeks time, by which time the course will (hopefully) be open on a more regular basis. The course will have (hopefully) dried out and be in a better condition and the clean and place rules should be more applicable for a "stroke play Comp". And amongst many other reasons Cart users will be more likely to be involved in the competition.
In the meantime and for the next two Saturday's 30th July and 6th Aug IF the course is open for 18 hole play there will be a stableford haggle.
We have scheduled a committee meeting for Sat 6th August, whereby we propose to reprogram our calendar. Please notify a committee member if you have anything you want us to address other than the weather.
Hugh Clark will be back in NZ on 30th July Lets hope He has brought some better weather some Guinness and some of those lucky Irish four leaf clovers.
I would guess he has played more golf than the rest of us put together.
Note for everyone doing Dry July it is now the wettest July ever on record "Top of the morning" to you all and "diddly dee potatoes".
