What golfers have to say about our club
I was well impressed by the Omokoroa Golf Club when I played in the Thursday Business House competition. The course, the club and the people were great. I will pass on my recommendations to others to visit and play your course.
"I played last Wednesday and the course is just so great to play on. It is a pleasure to come to golf and play on such a well-groomed course, great friendship, lovely food and if golf is good that's a bonus. Thank you"
"Thanks heaps for this week. The other districts had never seen the place before and absolutely loved it, so much so they want to make it the permanent home of this match. The service and friendliness from all at the club was fantastic both days and hopefully we can do the same again next year."
Mike, Convenor 2Day Junior Triangular Tournament, April 2015
“In my view, Omokoroa was one of the best presented courses I have played on for a couple of years. It never ceases to amaze me how these smaller clubs can maintain their greens and courses to such a high standard on small budgets. They put some of their urban cousins to shame”!

“Thank you so much for having us, we had such a nice time. Your course is lovely, and what a super spot by the water. We would like to book in again!”

Since early 1970 the idea of establishing a golf course in the Omokoroa area was raised from time to time. In March 1973 a public meeting was held to gauge public support. As there was considerable backing for the idea, a steering committee was formed with the task to look into the feasibility of creating an 18-hole golf course on the Omokoroa peninsula, to investigate the possible purchase of suitable land as well as ways to finance such a project.
